Hi Guys.
I know it is suggested that there is a training period, but I would like to know why my speed is slowing down. I have been signed up for 6 days now.
I started out at about 5mb and tonight its just over 2mb.
I am using a Zoom X4 modem which is only switched on when the PC is in use.
I have only been able to use the speedtester.bt.com once at the weekend and I then my speed was about 7mb.
The other results I got by running the speed tester on the dslzoneuk.net site.
After the training period will I get a better connection speed?
Any suggestions please.
Steve.
Ok
I have just mannaged to get the bt speedtester to work.
IP profile = 7150
Actual throughput 3361
Does this mean anything?
Thanx

Hi Steve

Could you try and post your line stats

The stats you are looking for are:-

ReceiveAttenuation_dB=
ReceiveMargin_dB=
SendAttenuation_dB=
SendMargin_dB=
Follow LINK (http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/frogstats.htm#anchor38) and search for your Zoom4. Or just follow instructions below.

http://10.0.0.2

Under Status, choose ADSL Status from the menu on the left.

If you are prompted to login, the username is admin and the password is zoomadsl.

Your IP profile suggests you may have interleving on (http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/interleaving.htm) This can be stoppped if you contact James ADSL24.

Regards
Cliff:)

You don't by any chance live in your local BT exchange:D
Looks good to me...But I am sure Tim (tboorman) will add his expertise. Once out of your ten days you should see your line settle down.

Your not interleaved...Latency FAST "FAST"
