Hi can someone confirm the problem i have if i resync my router in the morning i get 5,897kbps:D which is great as my line should only support
3mb according to BT. But when it comes to night time my internet connection light has gone off but the DSL light is still lit no matter how many times i try to connect it wont, untill i reboot the router again. Then my sync goes down to 4879kbps:( It seems to me as if the snr is dropping too low to keep connection (my line is above a street lamp:rolleyes: ). Could this be some sort of interference. I am using a st585 v6 router see my stats below for both syncs. Thanks:D

I suggest you get the DMT Tool (http://dmt.mhilfe.de/#) and monitor your noise margin over a period. Version 7.xx is the one you need for a ST 585.

The figures for your morning synch already show your margin has dropped quite a bit. Your evening synch, while lower in speed terms, is maintaining a healthier margin. Noise margin is usually lower in the evenings for a variety of reasons. I noticed during a recent retraining that a sharp drop in the margin seemed to paralyse the router and I had to power down and back up to regain synch. Not sure why, though, maybe a firmware thing.

Your line appears to be interleaved.

Ircsum.
