Office - but it shows you what is capable with an Entanet connection and a short line to the exchange.

Regards,

PS,

Dont forget its also dependent upon whom or where your downloading from.

I can only state this.

Use a quality router/modem.
Make sure your gear is tip top.
Make sure your gears firmware is the latest.
Make sure your home/office telephone cables are in good condition.
Make sure your MTU etc is set at optimum settings.
Make sure you lline is in good condition, no noise.

I use a Speedtouch 585v6 with a quality filter, short internal cable runs with fixed line not this thin telephone cable crap, but the biggest advantage I have is my cable run to the exchange is 367 meters.

That's the one thing the customer doesn't really have any control over.

Tried out using torrents last night after BT sorted my line out (Thanks for helping with that Brian, btw). Rather embarrassingly I spent most of the time gaping at the speed and thinkig "That'll be the max then...oh no it won't..."

On a completely unrelated note, how's the new series of Lost? ;)

They do if they complain over it.

WOOoooooo.... Thats some speed. If I get half that I will be happy.
My little uTorent would probably die in shock.
Only 21 hours and counting down, Ill be on the same pipe as you guys...
ADSL24 here I come..... Yipeeeeeeeeee Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeee.. OPPpsssss "xcuse me", I just can not wait to get off this crap I am currently on. It feels like christmas all over again :-)
When you have had a connection like mine for 3 months, you would be happy with 1.mb lol........... And when its all sorted, I shall be briefly returning to the titscali forums. And looking for a BAN!!
